Charleston, SC Getaways

Charleston, SC has been ranked the #1 City in America by Travel & Leisure readers for 10 consecutive years and it’s no surprise why. The friendly people, beautiful architecture, storybook coastal location, world class dining, rich history, and dynamic culture make Charleston a destination that travelers are drawn to and once they come, they tend to fall in love with what we call “Charleston Charm”.

I am SO glad you are considering spending a getaway in Charleston! My name is Jennifer Watson, and I am the Owner & Senior Travel Specialist at Our Sweet Tea Life Travel. I love Charleston SO much that after vacationing here several times, we decided to relocate our family to this beautiful area. One of my favorite things that I get to do as a travel agent is to help clients plan a special trip to Charleston and the surrounding areas of the lowcountry! There’s a saying that I’m sure you’ve heard…find something you love doing and find a way to make money doing it…planning trips to Charleston is my passion.

No matter the season you choose to come to Charleston there is always something going on that can make your time here special.

  • Spring in Charleston is glorious. It boasts mild temperatures, and the azaleas, wisteria, and jasmine are beginning to bloom, and they fill the city with fragrance. Window boxes are freshened up with bright pops of color and the Spring Tour of Homes & Gardens is in full swing.
  • Summer in Charleston is full of energy. Live music, summer farmers markets, long beach days, summer festivals, and plenty of opportunities to get out on the water will fill your days and create summer memories to last a lifetime.
  • Fall is equally as gorgeous with fall blooms abound, breathtaking lowcountry sunsets, fewer tourists, charming fall festivals and activities, Fall Tour of Homes & Gardens, and warm days followed by cool fall nights.
  • And finally, winter in Charleston is just “magical” with mild temperatures, holiday decorations straight out of a magazine, tree lightings, holiday concerts and parades, fabulous shopping, and magical holiday lights on display throughout town.

My goal, while you are here, is to give you a glimpse of the beautiful history, architecture, landscape, food, shopping, and southern hospitality that “is” Charleston. I also aim to tailor each vacation package to ensure that my clients are getting to experience Charleston “their way.” Charleston is a perfect destination to come spend a weekend with the girls shopping, dining and exploring downtown. It’s also a wonderful place to come with the boys golfing, fishing or exploring Fort Moultrie or the USS Yorktown. Charleston is fabulous for a family vacation at one of the quaint beach towns, a visit to the South Carolina Aquarium, and exploring the many local parks. And finally, Charleston is a romantic destination for the perfect romantic getaway with a stay at one of the many luxurious downtown hotels, 5-star dining, and a private carriage tour. Let me handle the details of planning so all you have to do is relax, make memories, and enjoy your time.

“Just had an incredible girlfriend getaway with Jenni. She is so knowledgeable and well versed in all things Charleston. Because of her expertise we often seemed to get everywhere 5 min ahead of everyone else. No lines, no wasted time, and a complete overview of everything the city had to offer. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone headed that way!”
